How to get there from Ho Chi Minh City
Bus (specify specific routes + fares)
- Going to Ben Dinh tunnels: You need to take bus 13 or 94 to An Suong bus station, from here, you take bus number 122 to Tan Quy bus station and then take bus 70 to Ben Dinh tunnels.
- Go to Ben Duoc Tunnels: Take bus number 13 or number 94 to Cu Chi bus station and then take bus number 79 to Ben Duoc Tunnels.
- Traveling to Cu Chi Tunnels by bus will take about 2.5 hours. The subjects exempted from bus tickets include the elderly (over 60 years old), the disabled, the meritorious, poor households and children under 6 years old. Except for children under 6 years old, the remaining subjects need to present a card to be exempted from bus tickets.
Taxi
If you have enough money, taxi is a great choice for a convenient, comfortable trip and easy to carry luggage. However, Cu Chi Tunnels is about 70km from the city center, so the price will fluctuate around 500,000 to 600,000 VND/trip. Consider that price before deciding!
Self-driving cars and motorbikes
If you have your own vehicle, you can choose to drive your own motorbike or car to Cu Chi Tunnels to be more proactive in terms of time. Starting from the center of Ho Chi Minh City, you will have to follow the route Truong Chinh - An Suong Intersection - Hoc Mon - Provincial Road 15 - Cu Chi Tunnels. - Children from 7 to 16 years old, pupils and students: 50% of adult ticket price.
- People with disabilities, people in armed forces, children under 7 years old, elderly people, people with revolutionary contributions, poor households: Free.
- In case you want to visit the whole Cu Chi Liberated Zone Reenactment Area: You need to buy an additional separate ticket for about 40,000 VND/person.
The distance from the gate to the tunnel area is about 2km, if your health allows, you can choose to walk, walking and admiring the surrounding scenery.
