Cuc Phuong National Park Introduces Night Tours for Wildlife Enthusiasts

In a captivating blend of adventure and conservation, Cuc Phuong National Park in northern Vietnam debuted its inaugural night tour, delighting nearly 100 visitors with an array of activities.

The night tour, operating from 7 p.m to 10 p.m daily, offers a one-hour journey through the park aboard electric cars, with the last tour commencing at 8:45 p.m.

Beginning at the designated experience and creativity zone for children, the tour then guides visitors along forest trails to witness the nocturnal activities of various animals, including deer, insects, and the occasional pangolin, striped civet, or wild cat.

Moreover, the tour serves as an educational platform, shedding light on conservation efforts and wildlife rescue programs within the forest, as emphasized by Pham Kien Cuong, director of the Center for Environmental Education and Service in Cuc Phuong National Park.

To minimize disruption to the natural habitat, each tour session is limited to around 100 visitors, who are restricted to specific areas within the forest.

Admission for the night tour is priced at 100,000VND (approximately US$3.94) for adults and 50,000VND for children. Visitors are advised to dress in long clothing and apply mosquito and insect repellent for comfort.

For the latest updates on butterfly sightings and firefly activity, interested individuals can refer to the park’s website and Facebook fan page.

Nestled in the picturesque landscape spanning the provinces of Ninh Binh, Hoa Binh, and Thanh Hoa, Cuc Phuong National Park stands as a testament to Vietnam’s commitment to preserving its tropical rainforest ecosystem.
