Your trip begins with your arrival in Vietnam. Your private driver will meet you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. Check in to the hotel and have a rest after the flight.
If you arrived early in the afternoon you could mooch through the streets of the city. Historic charm, architectural marvels, and various products are splashed all over this area.
Experience the edgy and evocative blend of past and present in Vietnam’s largest city.
Overnight in Ho Chi Minh.
Start 8:00 AM – END 2:30 PM
Cu Chi Tunnels is a legendary underground system of over 220 km of tunnels, a must-see for both Vietnamese and foreign travelers who are interested in the history of the Vietnam War. The tunnels are now a historical structure of Vietnam and considered a heroic district for the role they played in the resistance to US forces during the Vietnam War.
The tunnels are located approximately 60km from Ho Chi Minh city. The tour departs at 8:00 am from Vietnam Adventure Tours office or from your hotel in district 1. Enjoy the scenery along the way, as we pass the lush, endless rice fields and the ducks are water buffaloes swimming in the rivers. You might find it hard to imagine that once the area was almost completely destroyed by bombs and mines from the war, when Cu Chi was a “free target zone “.
Once we arrive, you will get a chance to walk through some of the tunnels, discover the hidden corners and imagine what life was like here for the resistance soldiers. If you like, try to cook with the smokeless stoves used by Vietnamese soldiers to cook during the war. You can even try foods which the soldiers lived on. If you’re feeling brave, or curious, you can even try your hand at shooting at AK-47, one of the guns used during the war.
Head back to the city in the afternoon; the tour finishes at 2:30 PM.
Have breakfast at the hotel and get ready for your flight from Ho Chi Minh City to Da Nang Airport. Upon arrival, our driver will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to Hoi An. You will check in at the hotel and have a relaxing time at your resort or at the beach.
In the evening you could go to the Old Town, which transforms into a mystical row of lights and lanterns. In fact, Hoi An is a big center for silk lantern manufacturers and merchants. Every shop or establishment will have a few lanterns outside, but the real sight is the lantern market.
After a stroll through the market, check out the outdoor traditional theatre. You will have a chance to see Vietnamese folk dancers and musicians perform traditional pieces. The theatre runs from 9pm to 10pm at the square on Nguyen Thai Hoc street. It is completely free and open to the public so it’s interesting to see, even if it’s just for a few minutes as you pass by. Before you retire to your hotel, be sure to light a candle box and set it in the water. Many kids sit along the banks of the channel and offer candles to you – remember to make a wish.
Overnight in Hoi An.

My husband and I arranged for a 9 day travel tour in Viet Nam traveling from Hanoi, through Hanoi, Halong Bay, Hoi An and Ho Chi Minh City. In every city, we got service with a smile. Our drivers were experienced, cars clean and pleasant to ride in; our guides knowledgeable and eager to attend to any requests.
We took this trip for our family of 5, our agent David was very nice and helpful, he guided us through the entire trip, every evening he was checking how our day was and leaving the notes for the next day activities. Our older son had a birthday during the trip and the cake in our hotel in Hanoi was a nice surprise. Our favorite part was Ba Vi tour, it was very educational and had a perfect balance of activities. And Halong Bay cruise was just terrific! We will visit this place again for sure.
I cannot say enough about Vietnam Tour Fun, we lovely time in the countryside with our guide Minah; fantastic time in Hoi An with guide Huan and Mr Leo in Ho Chi Minh City. Our travel consultant – Dat was so thorough, all transportation were on time. Any changes to our itinerary was done promptly and always responded quickly. We would use this travel agency for future Asia trip without a doubt
1 Having been highly recommended to Vietnam Tour Fun for assistance with planning our family trip to Vietnam, grade A for sure! We are a couple with 2 kids (24 months and 9-years-old) and enjoy the most comfortable stay. My family had a fantastic trip in Vietnam. All we have to do is tell her what we need and wait until the travel date to pack the luggage. Travel with kids never easier like this trip with Ms. Hien’s assistance! Vietnam family fun
