Archive: Hanoi’s first Lotus Festival was announced for 12–16 July 2024 at Tay Ho Cultural and Creative Space, Lane 612 Lac Long Quan. The event celebrated the lotus flower and its place in the cultural life of West Lake and Hanoi.
Under the theme ‘Hanoi’s Lotus Colours’, the programme introduced visitors to lotus flowers, crafts and the area’s traditional lotus-scented tea.

The opening programme on 12 July combined the festival launch with a display of One Commune One Product (OCOP) specialities. Around 100 booths were planned, alongside food stalls, regional products and displays of lotus-inspired paintings, photographs, lacquerwork and textiles.

Organisers also announced awards for the ‘Beauty, Ao Dai and Lotus’ photography competition and a performance telling the story of the lotus.
Other planned activities included community visits, a Trinh Cong Son music evening and a cycling event around West Lake.
These dates refer to the 2024 event. For a future visit, check the current local programme or ask Vietnam Tour Fun about lotus-season experiences around Hanoi.
