Hoi An placed fourth among honeymoon destinations in Tripadvisor’s 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards, behind Mauritius, Bali and the Maldives. The ranking drew on traveller reviews collected from October 2023 to September 2024.
The award highlighted the town’s appeal to couples, from relaxed meals and riverside evenings to time exploring its historic streets.
Yellow-painted houses, tiled roofs and lanterns give the Ancient Town its familiar character. Couples can combine a cultural stay with time at nearby beaches, leaving space for quieter moments away from the busiest streets.
Hoi An also ranked fourth among cities in the 2024 World’s Best Awards from Travel + Leisure . Both rankings reflect particular award programmes and years, rather than a permanent or universal assessment of the destination.
