Banana Beach in Thailand and Kelingking Beach in Indonesia appeared among Tripadvisor’s top 25 beaches in its 2025 Travelers’ Choice Awards. The recognition reflected reviews used for that year’s awards.
Banana Beach on Koh Hey, also called Coral Island, off Phuket placed second.

Kelingking Beach on Nusa Penida placed ninth.
The dramatic headland is best known for its clifftop view. Reaching the sand involves a very steep path, so it should not be described as easy beach access. Swimming is prohibited because of dangerous waves and currents. Stay behind barriers and follow local instructions; enjoying the view from above is a worthwhile visit in itself.
Elafonissi Beach in Greece led the 2025 list. Other featured beaches included Siesta Beach, Playa de Muro, Spiaggia dei Conigli and Manly Beach.
