Archive: On 3 June 2024, Da Nang’s tourism authorities announced a summer programme that included Enjoy Da Nang 2024 and the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival.
Enjoy Da Nang 2024 ran from 17 to 21 July, bringing music, food, sport and family activities to the city’s beaches, parks and riverside.
The programme opened with a large concert at East Sea Park on 17 July. It was one of 14 main activities announced for the five-day festival.
A Vietnamese and international food festival offered local dishes and regional specialities, including mì Quảng, bánh xèo, cao lầu and sweet desserts, alongside souvenir and product stalls.
Colourful kites were scheduled for the beachfront from 17 to 19 July, while a sailing-boat display on 20 July brought activity to the Han River.
Visitors could also try making traditional central Vietnamese foods at a dedicated culinary space, including rice paper and regional cakes.
A children’s activity area offered creative sessions such as pottery and painting, giving families another way to enjoy the event.
The wider programme included street music, dance, traditional instrumental performances and bài chòi, a central Vietnamese folk art.
The separate Da Nang International Fireworks Festival opened on 8 June 2024 on the Han River, with teams from Vietnam and France taking part in the opening night.
