Bali took first place in Go2Africa’s bucket-list destination report for 2025. The travel planner’s analysis identified more than 2.28 million related Google searches, reflecting strong interest in the Indonesian island.
The report used search-volume data to compare destinations associated with bucket-list terms. It measured online interest, rather than visitor satisfaction or an objective ranking of the world’s best places.
Other destinations highlighted included Santorini, Machu Picchu, the Taj Mahal, the Eiffel Tower, the Grand Canyon and Mount Everest.
Bali’s appeal ranges from temple visits and rice-terrace walks to beach stays and time in Ubud. The report noted that the island welcomed around 6.3 million international visitors in 2024.
