Phu Quoc recorded strong visitor numbers during Vietnam’s five-day holiday around Reunification Day and Labour Day in 2025.
The island reportedly welcomed about 151,000 visitors, a 20% increase compared with the equivalent holiday period a year earlier.
Nearly 27,000 were international visitors, up 22%, according to figures reported by the Kien Giang provincial portal.
The figures describe one busy holiday period, during which unsettled weather was also reported. They should not be treated as a forecast for another season.
Phu Quoc’s accommodation and attractions span busy resort areas and quieter locations. Holiday crowds can affect transfers, availability and the atmosphere at popular sites.
If your trip overlaps a Vietnamese public holiday, confirm accommodation and transport early and allow extra time for journeys.
